Storybook Bookkeeping was founded when a group of accountants got together and decided there needed to be a better and more personalized way to offer bookkeeping services to clients. Michael Ousley
Owner / Principal Accountant
Michael took his first accounting class in high school and it was “love at first sight”. He went on to college to double major in both accounting and management information systems earning bachelor’s degree. His thirty-plus years of experience covers almost every business sector. He spent 15 years as the Executive Vice President and CFO of a large retailer with locations in the Midwest and West Coast. He also has years of experience in wholesale and non-profits. He absolutely loves accounting and it shows through his passion and work ethic every single day. When he is not crunching numbers, he and his wife are lounging on the beach or traveling to see the five grandchildren.
Jordan
Accountant
Jordan holds a bachelor’s degree and has years of accounting and business experience. He specializes in cost analysis and helping your company become more efficient and growing your bottom line.
Betsy
Accountant
Betsy holds a bachelor’s degree and was a retail business owner for many years and thus has a heart for the small retailer. She also has experience in the non-profit sector having served as Director of Finance and understands the challenges that non-profits face. Betsy’s positive demeanor and ability to see the story behind the numbers makes her a wonderful member of the Storybook Dream Team.
Robert
Accountant
Bob holds a bachelor’s degree with a strong background in accounting and human resources. He has spent most of his career working in the retail and wholesale / distribution sectors. His attention to detail and ability to convey the story behind the numbers is second to none. He has a great sense of humor so not only will you develop a calm and a better understanding of your numbers, you will laugh and have fun doing it!
Gabriella
IT / Accountant Assistant
Gabbie is our newest team member and is working hard to earn her degree in accounting. Her ultimate goal is to continue her education and eventually become a corporate attorney. She is a whiz with the latest technology and A.I. She makes sure Storybook is utilizing the latest advances and efficiencies and helps our dream team work “smarter instead of harder“ to better serve our clients.
Teresa
Director of Growth & Operations
Teresa is the heart and face of Storybook. She works to keep our clients happy and keep the “bean counters” above balanced and grounded. Her passion is creating lasting client relationships, welcoming new clients, and taking the time to genuinely know and care about every existing client and their family. She will be the one sending cookies to your office at Christmas, a card congratulating you on achieving that large goal, or a gift to recognize your son or daughter graduating from high school or college. Teresa holds a doctorate degree in nursing. Her passion, caring, and love for people and their stories shines brightly every day.
